TNT is currently in the lead with a 7-1 mark while Rain or Shine is just half a game behind the defending champions with a 7-2 slate.

Tropang Texters head coach Chot Reyes said they are up for a stiff challenge against Rain or Shine mainly because of lack of personnel.
“Without our four key men, we’re the decided underdogs tomorrow,” said Reyes as his team came from 96-83 demolition of

“It would be interesting to see how we play a strong, deep team that is coming off a loss,” he added.

Reyes is referring to the Elasto Painters, whose five-game winning streak was snapped by Petron Blaze, 90-80.

Talk ‘N Text will still be without Jimmy Alapag, Ryan Reyes, Aaron Aban and Ali Peek due to injuries but they were able to survive the lowly Clickers even with a short rotation.

The team signed Bambam Gamalinda and Shawn Weinstein to have at least extra bodies in their rotation.

“We have to get contributions from a lot of players to be able to survive,” said Reyes.

Rain or Shine has been playing impressively despite its loss to the Boosters though head coach Yeng Guiao said the defeat somewhat gave them a valuable lesson.

“Mabuti na rin ‘yung natalo. Akala kasi nila magaling na sila. At least ngayon alam na nila na hindi pa,” said Guiao.

The Tropang Texters prevailed in their first meeting, 107-98, behind the 28-point explosion from Harvey Carey.
