FINALS: Powerade Tigers 1 - 3 Talk N Text Tropang Texters
Coming off their team building trip in Baguio over the past week, the Talk N’ Text Tropang Texters ran all over the Barangay Ginebra Kings on Sunday at the Big Dome, 86-71, to pick up their fifth win against a solitary loss.

Ryan Reyes, who exploded for 14 first half points, delivered the biggest blows as he came up with six straight points including a rare 4-point play with just over six minutes remaining in the game to push their lead back up to 16 after Barangay Ginebra came to within 10.
The Kings, who were coming off a tough loss to Meralco last Friday, trailed by as much as 23 before going on a 9-0 run late in the third quarter to keep within striking distance of the Texters before Larry Fonacier pushed their cushion back up to 17 heading into the final frame.
Ronald Tubid and Mike Cortez knocked down back to back treys. Then Enrico Villanueva came up with a split that set up Ryan Reyes’ heroics that broke the Kings’ backs before the defending champs put it on cruise control.

Mark Caguioa (14) and Mike Cortez (11) were the only Kings to score in twin digits while Reyes ended up with 20 on 7 of 12 shooting. Kelly Williams (19), Jared Dillinger (14) and Jayson Castro (13) provided for a balanced attack to hand Ginebra their second loss in a row and fourth overall.

In the first game, Barako Bull manhandled the Powerade Tigers, 117-78. After their four-game win streak was snapped by Alaska the last time out, the Energy came out with guns ablaze. Sunday Salvacion led five others in double figures with his 20 points powered by four triples.

Barako Bull led by as much as 53 points in the one-sided affair and limited the Association’s leading scorer Gary David to just five points on 1/8 shooting. Former two-time MVP Willie Miller had 16 on 7/12 FGs while Paul Artadi took home player of the game honors with his 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals that went with 2 triples. - OMG, GMA News
